Quote of Joche Hick (co-director)
We have been surprised about the big interest in RAINBOW'S END.
Initially meant to be a 60-minutes piece on ARTE television, in
cooperation with ILGA World (International Lesbian & Gay
Association), we accomplished a 75 minutes theatrical and DVD version
with various subtitle languages, which has toured around the world and
is released in many countries. I guess it might be the understanding,
that LGBT rights won't work anymore in a national perspective, but
networking and political activism has a huge revival and seems more
than ever necessary for an ongoing and persisting coexistance of the
minority with the sexual majority. This also brings LGBT issues in
relation with the new (and odl) xenophobia and forces Lesbians and Gays
to come out of their little nice and kept up universes, they have been
diligently building up in the major western cities all around the
world. Right now we are working on a very intersting and suspensful
piece about Russia and Latvia. More about around the world is still to
come.
